BATDORF & BRONSON COFFEE ROASTERS CELEBRATES INSTALLATION OF 9.9Kw SOLAR SYSTEM WITH RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

Tomorrow, in a celebration that includes representatives from Puget Sound Energy, USDA, and Thurston Chamber of Commerce, Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters will officially “flip the switch” on their recently installed 9.9kW solar system. The ceremony will take place Tuesday December 1st at 11:30 at the coffee roastery Tasting Room, 200 Market NE in Olympia.


Long recognized inside and outside of the coffee industry as a leader in sustainability practices, Batdorf & Bronson is committed to sustainability within its supply chain as well as within its roasting and retail operations.

Batdorf & Bronson COO, David Wasson says, “We invest in the future of coffee farmers and coffee drinkers by investing in the communities where we do business, whether it be a coffee farm in Guatemala, or the city of Olympia and Thurston County.” The solar system includes Itek Energy modules and inverters, manufactured in Washington.

Speakers will include: Batdorf & Bronson; South Sound Solar; USDA Rural Energy Department; Puget Sound Energy, Thurston County Chamber of Commerce and Local Government officials.
